Interview with a Dominatrix

By day she’s baking up a storm for one of the city’s most coveted sweet shops; by night she’s donning tall leather boots and welting high rollers with her whip. Meet “Marie”: undercover dominatrix.

Is there not a bit of a career chasm between baking cakes and dominating men?

Marie: It’s true, I don’t have a dominant personality, so for me, it had to be learned as a role play. Years ago I met a dominatrix who showed me the ropes. I thought it might be interesting to do something different, now here I am with a closet full of leather boots!

Who are your clients?

Most of my clients are middle-class, white, married men. Usually, they’re in dominant positions at work or at home. They like female domination and discipline, whether it’s simply being told what to do, a little spanking or more extreme forms of control… like being tied up at my mercy.

I find a lot of men who think they want it to be hardcore until the time actually comes and they chicken out. Like the guy who wanted his balls stapled to his leg.

Do you have a femdom specialty that keeps them coming back?

My specialty has become the foot fetish. It’s the number one fetish worldwide. I’d rather focus on that than some of the other requests I get — like scat play. Besides, what girl doesn’t like foot massages, pedicures, and shoes?

Some guys like bare feet, some like shoes or stockings. My most recent request was for rubber boots. A lot of men like it when feet are sweaty and smelly. My secret is pickle juice… I pour a little on my feet about a half-hour before a session and they smell like I’ve been running a marathon.

Do you give them footjobs?

No, most men want to smell, kiss, rub, or just admire your feet and legs. And for a lot of men, it’s the look in high heels that turns them on.

How much does a dominatrix make?

My fee ranges from $150-$250/hour, depending on the fantasy scenario. I offer BDSM, role play, cross-dressing (one of my personal faves) and duos with a gay male for a forced-bisexual fantasy (of course it costs more for that).

How do you maintain personal relationships as a professional dominatrix?

Dating is hard. Relationships shouldn’t be formed on deception so I’m faced with telling a potential partner about my job as a dominatrix. Guys are always very curious and some may think it’s cool, but eventually, it becomes more and more troublesome. They get jealous, they bolt. It rarely works out.

Is there an exit strategy from being a dominatrix?

Well, I do love my baking job. Maybe there’s even some school in my future. But in the meantime, being a professional dominatrix is an adventure. And the key to happiness for anyone is finding something you love doing. And if I can pay the bills by giving some prude old man a well-deserved spanking, then why not!
