Exploring Fantasies and Desires Online

Sexual exploration never ends, at least it hasn’t for me. It’s part of what makes life interesting, what keeps a relationship from going sour, and what helps us grow by testing our limits and boundaries. If you’ve always had a very straight-forward approach to sex, or you’ve kept your fantasies to yourself, it can be challenging, embarrassing, and sometimes scary to unleash those desires on a partner in a long-term relationship, a new lover, and especially a one-night-stand.

If you are hesitant or not sure what sexual kinks you might even be interested in, then the internet can be a great playground for a bdsm newbie or a vanilla looking for a little flavor.

3 Ways to Explore Your Sexuality Online

1. Erotica
Back in the day it was embarrassing to be seen holding a dirty novel, or checking out a sex-laden book at the library, but there’s so much erotica online now, you’ll never be able to read it all. I find women enjoy erotica more than men, who generally prefer porn. I for one prefer using my imagination to fill in the blanks. You may want to write your own naughty stories for a lover who will definitely be appreciative

2. BDSM Porn
What I like about most porn sites, besides that they’re free, is that they’re divided up into a a lot of categories, and sometimes even subcategories. So once you find what makes you hard or wet, you’ll know it might be something you’d like to try with a lover. My only warning: don’t expect a woman you’re hooking up with for the first time to do everything you watch online. Trust between partners is a must before engaging in bdsm activities.

3. Chatroom Kink
Maybe you’ve joined a bdsm dating site, but are not quite ready to meet someone in person. These kinky chatrooms, although not 100% free, do offer interested kinksters the chance to talk to and watch experienced bdsm enthusiasts. If you’re of the submissive sort, you’ll be able to meet a dominatrix who will put you in your place or even answer questions about the lifestyle.

And of course, there are thousands of kinky websites, forums, and blogs you’ll find along the way in your kinky explorations. If you have a favourite online hotspot, be sure to let us know in the comments.

I am a 40-something male sub. I am wondering which site is the best for meeting someone who is into d/s… but start as friends? Also how do I know they are being as truthful with me as I am them? with the economy being the way it is I cannot put money into a site that will not give me results. I may be a hopeless case, but I am a sub who has studied the lifestyle for years and I am serious about finding a Domme. I have one major problem: I have limited transportation?

      Hi Scott,

I think that if you are looking to find someone online you’re going to have to invest at least somewhat. (ie. joining and paying for at least one site). I know money can be tight, but I actually consider a monthly membership to a site to be a much better deal than trying to meet someone for this type of relationship offline, which often involves admission fees to clubs or fetish nights and the buying of drinks.

With regards to your desire to start as friends and find someone who understands your limited transportation, the best thing you can do is be upfront about these things on your profile. That way you can attract partners who may also prefer to start as friends and understands your situation from the outset. Give BDSMdate.com a shot and let us know how it goes.
