Macrophilia is a fetish with a long history. The sexual excitement one feels from being a tiny person being employed as a sexual tool by a giant goes back at least to the time of Jonathan Swift. You will recall that Gulliver, while traveling in the kingdom of Brobdingnag, between the years of 1702 and 1706, iss taken up by an extremely horny giant who inserts the narrator entirely into her vagina. In the 1950s film Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, the United States is terrorized by a very American version of Godzilla: an enormous blonde in a bikini, stomping through the downtown core of a city. It isn’t just a fear of new technology run amok, as Godzilla was. It is that technology run amok and then sexualized.

In real life, this fetish is sometimes played out by shorter men dating taller women. There’s something to be said for being unafraid to climb mighty mountains. It isn’t always easy for tall women to find dates, though, so maybe they’re more likely to pay attention to someone who fetishizes their height.
