When I started writing for Kink Lovers I shared personal stories but have since moved onto writing informative and instructive posts about kink and the bdsm lifestyle. I thought it was time for a little confession. Here goes . . .
I have a fetish for weird teeth. Let me explain. Not rotten brown teeth – if that’s your problem, go to a dentist. What I do fancy are gaps (especially between the two upper front), missing teeth (not too many), crooked, and vampire-like teeth (most dentists file incisors down when kids are small, but a few escape.)
I often wonder how fetishes develop. I think my teeth fetish is related to going to an orthodontist for ten years as a child. This time included six years of braces, and not the ones that are on the inside of your teeth or clear. No, I was a full-on metal brace face.
What’s great about my fetish, is that I can enjoy it on a daily basis. Most people don’t have perfect teeth, unless you live in Hollywood.
On my first date with my ex-husband, I noticed his straight teeth. I admit, I was a little disappointed, but he was charming and there was chemistry. After dinner, we were back at his place and listening to music. Before we kissed he got all serious and said, “There’s something I should tell you.”
I thought, great, he’s probably married or has a girlfriend. “What is it?” I asked reluctantly. “I used to play hockey, “ he said. “And I took a puck to the face.” Now, my thoughts were turning good. “What happened?” I asked, with anticipation. “I lost my front teeth,” he said, pulling out a plate to reveal the gap.
I didn’t tell him I had a fetish, and well, we did get married. Not to say, I don’t date men with perfect smiles, but if he does have “weird teeth”, it does bump the excitement level.
Enough about my fetish. I want to hear stories from Kink Lovers readers. Yes, you! One of my favorite things about this work is hearing about others’ kinks, fetishes, and fantasies. This voyeuristic fixation gave me a great idea for a regular post.
