Think Outside the Bedroom: Sex around the House

For me, sex in a bed is boring. Not to say I won’t do it there; I’ll do it just about anywhere, and I’ll admit, it might be the most comfortable place to get it on, but… it’s still kinda boring. And if you’re not ready to bust out the whips and chains and butt plugs just yet as a way to shake up things in the bedroom, then you might want to physically step out of your usual comfort zone, aka the bedroom.

So where should you start… here’s a checklist:

Bathroom – Keep it clean and do it in the shower. I find it works best from behind with a man who is about five to seven inches taller. If you find height differences an issue for standing-up sex, get down in the tub and do it doggie-style. Whatever you do, be careful… sex-related injuries suck.

Kitchen -There’s the kitchen counter or table. With the counter, the woman can use her arms behind and  her against the wall for leverage while wrapping her legs around her man. The table offers more room for the woman to lie back and enjoy.

Living Room – You can either make out on your couch like teenagers (throw a role play into the mix), or get cozy on the shag rug. If you’ve got a fireplace, light it up, even if it isn’t cold outside.

Laundry Room – It’s usually so cramped in this room, you might be wondering where you’re supposed to actually do it… hello: washing machine! But it’s only fun if you’ve got a load in; the extra bounce and jiggle adds to the sensory pleasure, and hey, you’ll get clean laundry out of it!

Closet – Another cozy spot to make out. This is the perfect spot for an pretend office sex. You and your partner can pretend you’re co-workers, worried the boss will catch you. Did you know some people have a fetish for doing it in cramped spaces.

Garage – Get dirty in the dirtiest room in the house. There’s plenty of options here: do it in a tent, in the car, or maybe on a stack of old tires. And don’t forget all the bondage possibilities lying around: rope and cables anyone?
