I used to date this woman who was quite politically active. During the early stages, while I was still trying to impress her, I agreed to meet her at a documentary screening for a film about the holocaust. I know what you are thinking: is he really starting a kink post with a genocide anecdote? Just bear with me a minute.
The screening was on a university campus, but I got confused as to what building it was in, and in what room. I wandered around, and finally went into a full and darkened screening in which a movie was playing. I couldn’t see who was in the room, but there were Nazis on the screen, so I thought this must be the right place.
As I watched though, I came to realize that it wasn’t a documentary about the holocaust at all, but an extremely bizarre softcore kink film in which a large, sadistic Nazi dominatrix was administering long and drawn out punishment to a skinny, overly tuned on Jewish man. It didn’t take long for me to realize that this was the wrong film.
Seeing this made me think: taboos make kink sexy. The cuck narrative is always made sexier by having a black bull fuck a white woman. It is a replaying of a racial narrative of America through one cheesy sex act. The holocaust kink is completely wrong and tasteless, but that seems to be what makes it hot for some people.
By this logic, it’s easy to understand why people would be turned on by scenarios involving kinky nuns, dirty priest and parishioner role-playing games, and the Christian fetishization of chastity and purity.
Christianity is ironically quite a fertile ground for kink. The more those natural feelings of lust are paved over, the more they spring up through the cracks of piety like irascible weeds, splitting the cement as they grow. Punishment for sinning is a parallel theme in many d/s relationships.
There has been a lot of perversion committed by the church that is legitimately awful, but this doesn’t take away from the fact that sinning can still be incredibly fun!
I never did make it to the real holocaust documentary or find my date that day, which is just more evidence that Nazis ruin everything.
