Cast Fetish Kinks and Role Play Ideas

Do you have a cast fetish or a plaster cast kink?

Do you turn rock hard when a hottie on crutches and in a cast makes her way past? Did you find yourself inexplicably turned on when your partner came home with her arm in a cast after slipping on ice?

What Is a Cast Fetish?

A cast fetish describes sexual arousal from plaster or fiberglass casts. Some people find themselves sexually aroused by a person wearing a cast.

As with many fetishes, it can be as general as anyone in a cast is a turn-on, to a very specific kink—a woman wiggling painted toes from under a plaster cast on her ankle.

A cast fetish can be specific to the material of the cast, the color of the cast, the shape of the body part in the cast, and much more.

The cast fetish is a bona fide kink, and cast fetish porn videos or cast fetish sites featuring images of people in plaster casts such as ankle casts, body casts, elbow casts, leg cats and more have devoted followers.

Some of these cast fetish sites are sexual in nature while others are just snapshots of people wearing casts. Even Pinterest pages or personal Instagram posts following an injury and casting find themselves with unexpected followers.

Why Do People Have a Cast Fetish?

Is the cast fetish about bondage and powerlessness, or being sexually excited by someone’s pain? Yes and no.

The cast fetish is often part of bondage fetishes and can be connected to mummification or other extreme body bondage kinks. The thrill can be part of the cast wearer’s helplessness and the power dynamic that results.

It is less often about sadomasochism although pain can come into play in some cases.

Most cast fetishists aren’t excited by or interested in the cast wearer’s pain and this may even ruin the kink for them. A real medical trauma that results in a real cast may downgrade their excitement, versus fantasy images or making a cast for someone who isn’t injured at all.

For many with a cast fetish, it is the cast itself that does it!

Many cast fetish lovers are turned on by the feeling and idea of the cast in and of itself, and others are turned on by the cast in addition to the bondage elements the wearer is undergoing. Some are also turned on by other medical devices like leg braces and crutches, but the cast fetish stands on its own.

Cast Kink and Medical Fetish

A cast kink may be part of a medical fetish, yes, but not always. Someone can have a cast fetish with zero arousal towards other medical paraphernalia or scenarios.

It is common for those with a full medical fetish to enjoy cast play, but those with a strong cast fetish often have no sexual interest in medical torture, nurse outfits, or surgical instruments.

Cast Fetish and Foot Fetish

Is cast fetish part of foot fetishism? Sometimes.

Cast fetishism can be specific to ankle or foot cast kinks, with no sexual interest in other kinds of casts. It can be one expression of sexual arousal from foot fetishism—a foot cast lover may especially love toes, ankles, and feet, and enjoy them in many kinds of shoes and include plaster cast kink as part of foot love.

Leg Cast Fetish

The cast kink is often specific to the leg cast. Seeing someone wearing a leg cast, seeing jeans cut to accommodate a leg cast, skirts with leg casts, or the idea of preparing a leg cast for someone, can all be exciting for those with a leg cast fetish.

Body Cast Fetish

Those with a body cast fetish are usually turned on by both extreme body bondage and by plaster casts. Some are more excited by the idea of the cast covering the whole body, or by “access” to genitalia or mouth orifices with everything else immobilized.

The body cast fetish can be linked to medical kinks and bondage more generally, but for some, the fetish is still more about the cast itself, and that the cast is more encompassing.

Cast Fetish and Bondage

While it is very common that a cast fetish has nothing to do with BDSM at all, BDSM is the bedrock of kink and a very common element in most sex. From basic, vanilla, heteronormative missionary-position sex to the most specific or extreme manifestations of sexuality.

Those excited by bondage may find the cast kink another avenue of experience to explore. Those excited by medical scenarios and by bondage play may also find cast fetishism can be an exciting variation on their themes.

For some, the idea of bondage is essential to the cast fetish, but the cast is the only scenario that excites, and ropes or mummification or hoods don’t cut it.

Looking at images of people or real people wearing casts, struggling inside casts, immobilized in casts, fantasizing about these images, or dominating them sexually while they are in casts are some of the ways bondage plays out with plaster casts.

For some, the best scenario is when someone is in a cast for genuine reasons and also wants to be part of a BDSM sexual encounter.

The ultimate can be the making of a plaster cast and placing a partner’s limb inside, and the long process that entails. This can be dangerous with a lack of experience and expertise—too tight a bond can disrupt blood supply, etc.

The BDSM aspect can be turned on its head with the cast fetish, too, beyond the obvious bondage of the wearer of the cast. For many, helping the person in the cast is part of the sexual turn-on, and the one in the cast can be pulling the strings for service.

Cast Fetish Roleplay Ideas

There are endless ways to get creative and playful with the cast fetish.

You can make a cast, or make something that looks like a cast.

You can role play “damsel in distress” scenarios, “helping” someone who needs assistance or who twisted her ankle in the woods.

You can play out medical scenes with doctor-patient roles, and pulleys in bed.

You can dress and wrap a “sprained ankle” and enjoy the toes peeping out from your handiwork.

You can get a fake cast, or make one. You can play on crutches. You can “sign” a cast.

You can clean house for a cast-bound dominant!

Is a Cast Fetish part of Abasiophilia?

Abasiophilia is a psychological and sexual attraction to people moving with impaired mobility, often specifically those wearing orthopedic devices such as leg braces and plaster casts.

While the plaster and fiberglass cast kink may definitely qualify as a subset of abasiophilia, it is not really synonymous with it.

Abasiophilia was coined by sex researcher Dr. John Money and the definition was dependent on the object of attraction being “lame, crippled, or unable to walk.” The inability to walk and the dependency of leg braces, crutches, wheelchairs, and other medical mobility devices is what defines abasiophilia.

This might include the cast kink, but the cast fetish is distinct because it is a specific sexual interest in the cast, or the wearing of the plaster cast, not to other devices like braces or crutches.

The cast fetish may be a turn-on because of the helplessness of the person in the cast, but it may not. It is usually the cast itself that turns the fetishist on. The person wearing the cast may be completely mobile, and the cast may be on the wrist and not impede walking at all.
