Impossible Kinks and Fantasy Fetishes

Our imaginations are incredible. Human creativity, invention, and dreaming has given us opera, air travel, and the superpower of communicating with people on the other side of the planet in real time.

When we watch our favorite detective drama or sci-fi miniseries, we experience real emotions alongside the fictional characters and their adventures. We process fiction as if it’s real, even when we know it’s not.

The erotic imagination is even wilder. Each human has a unique and complex maze of desires, fantasies, and connections that fire up the hormones and nervous system.

Most of our sexual imaginings are “impossible” in the sense that they are fantasies. The likelihood of a rubber-clad Amazon blonde dropping by your office and whipping you into a frenzy on your lunch break is next to nil. Your partner might not be the redheaded cleaning lady in fishnets and high heels that you’re dreaming about. Maybe you’re turned on by amputees or an unshaven bush, and you’ve never met women who match.

But there are fetishes that are literally not possible. Revising laws can’t change things, and even a willing partner can’t conjure the impossible. Folks with some kinks can only experience their thrill in an imaginary way, through role play or fantasy.

Impossible Kinks and Fetishes

Exophilia

Everyone loves an alien story, but some find themselves sexually attracted to aliens. People with exophilia are aroused by extraterrestrials, either specific ones in films and folklore, or as an idea.

Teratophilia

In a similar vein, there is a rich community of people who experience sexual desire for monsters and other fantasy creatures.

Teratophilia is also used to refer to a separate kink for people with deformities (not an impossible desire) but is no longer acceptable.

And if you haven’t heard of a succubus—a female demon who has sexual intercourse with sleeping men—there are plenty of stories from those claiming to experience these voracious visits.

Macro and Microphilia

Macrophilia and microphilia are surprisingly common kinks about size. But it doesn’t refer to gay men and women who love big cocks (size queens) or an appreciation for big beautiful women (BBW). Folks with these kinks imagine themselves or their object of affection to be as small as a thimble or as tall as a skyscraper.

Being Eaten Alive

Sexual cannibalism is not that rare a fantasy, which makes sense when you consider the thrill of the metaphorical consuming or being consumed. While doing the eating outside of the mind is ethically impossible, it’s not literally impossible. Being eaten, however, can only happen once!

Not something I want to think about, but there is a “consensual cannibal” underground. When the infamous German Armin Miewes was charged with killing and eating his date, he showed the courts that countless men had come forward hoping they’d be his one and only.

Vorarephilia

Vore is similar but more specific—the idea of being swallowed whole or swallowing someone whole is the subject of a number of hardcore kink comics and erotic stories.

Cooking Humans

We do get specific! The cannibal kink has many offshoots, including an internet world showing porn that helps folks with this fetish indulge their kink for being cooked or cooking. Whether it’s naked women roasting on a BBQ or in a giant pot with peas and potatoes, the mind is as far as this one can go if you want a repeat orgasm anytime soon.

Spectrophilia

Some people fall in love with ghosts, and it always makes for a good short story or movie. Others just want to fuck them. Many with this kink say it’s not impossible—it’s something they regularly enact when visited by their sweetheart spirit.
