BDSM Ice Play Ideas for Kinky Ice Cube Sex

The steamy days of summer are upon us. Why not take advantage of the building heat and work some good old-fashioned ice play into your BDSM sessions.

Temperature play is hardly exclusive to the kink community — vanilla couples have long been known to suck on a Popsicle or two before going down on one another—but the techniques I’m about to suggest are a bit more daring than that!

4 Ways to Use Ice for BDSM

1. Bondage Ice Play

Harness the element of surprise.

Bind your sub’s arms and legs, blindfold them, and then touch an ice cube to random parts of their naked body. Place and remove the ice quickly and in unpredictable patterns to make them jump out of their skin.

Part of what makes ice so well suited to BDSM play is that it’s a shock to the system. Add a blindfold to your play session, and your sub’s anticipatory tension will shoot through the roof! Make them shiver in ecstasy and worry about where you’ll strike next.

2. Test Your Sub’s Obedience

Demand that your sub hold a piece of ice for as long as you tell them to. Challenge their obedience by adding more punishment to the mix. Spank or whip them using the countdown method, or threaten to do so if they fail to comply with your orders.

Build up your sub’s resistance to the cold gradually, but avoid long stretches of exposure at first. Start with a few seconds at a time, then work up as your sub becomes less sensitive. Never place a piece of ice and walk away, especially if they are bound.

3. Ice Water Play

For those of you looking for something a little more hardcore, add ice water to the mix.

Submerge your sub’s fingers or toes for short periods of time, testing their willingness to comply. Drizzle freezing streams of water over their stomach, and breasts. Let it drip down to their crotch, or up to their neck. Use a paintbrush to flick droplets of ice water at them while they stand suspended and blindfolded.

There are lots of ways to ice play, just avoid full-body submersion and be on the lookout for signs of hypothermia, like excessive shivering, drowsiness, confusion, or slurred speech.

4. Torture and Tease

Hold an ice cube between your fingers or teeth, then bring it teasingly close to your sub’s nipples or clit, drawing circles on their breasts, or trails up their inner thighs. Then, when they are at the edge of what they can stand, touch the ice to their most sensitive places. Hold it there for just a second, then start the whole dance over again.

In terms of temperature play precautions, ice can burn or badly damage delicate skin, so be mindful of how long you let it rest. And never insert ice into your partner’s anus or vagina. (Just in case that thought crossed your mind!)
