Have you ever heard of an eye fetish? Does sexual arousal from an eye’s iris or pupil, eyelash, or eyeball strike you as unusual or familiar?
You may not associate eyes with kink or fetish the way you associate other body parts like feet with fetishes.
An eye fetish may not come to mind as quickly as a dozen kinks or fetishes for leather, anal play, or red hair. But look closer… from the old cliché, the “eyes are the window to the soul,” to a million song lyrics, we associate eyes with love, romance, intimacy, and sex.
It is extremely common to view eyes as the point of connection, intimacy, and attraction, even if we don’t think in terms of an eye fetish.
Just a few song titles from thousands that feature “eyes” include Ocean Eyes, Sexy Eyes, Hungry Eyes, Brown Eyed Girl, In Your Eyes, Angel Eyes, Big Eyes, Green Eyes, The Bluest Eyes in Texas, and Bette Davis Eyes.
Throughout history and in various cultures, the power eyes hold over seduction and sex has been widely acknowledged.
What Is an Eye Fetish or Oculophilia?
An eye fetish is when people experience intense sexual arousal, pleasure, and attraction to someone’s eyes. An eye fetish is sometimes called “oculophilia.”
As with all kinks and fetishes, there can be a lot of variances. An eye fetish can be for eyes in general or very specific, such as a certain kind of eye shape, size, or color.

8 Eye Fetishes and Eye Kinks
1. Eyeball Licking Fetish
About ten years ago, reports of a pink-eye epidemic across Japan started showing up everywhere. A new kind of making out involving an eye fetish was apparently a craze. People were licking each other’s eyeballs, a fetish quickly dubbed “oculolinctus” for the ultimate in “where no one has gone before” body-fluid exchange.
Said fluid exchange was causing eye infections everywhere, as viruses and bacteria on the tongue are dangerous to the delicate eye.
The oculolinctus craze was a hoax. The Guardian ran a story about eyeball licking but later retracted it after checking with some of the mentioned schools and centers in Japan. They found no reports of pink eye, and no one knew anything about the alleged eyeball-licking fetish and its consequences.
So is the urge to lick eyeballs for sexual pleasure a made-up hoax?
Yes and no. The “craze” didn’t happen. But everything exists, and anything that exists, exists somewhere for sexual arousal. Some people report an intense desire to touch or lick eyeballs, whether “any” eyeball or a specific person’s eyeballs.

2. Cross-Eyed Fetish
The cross-eyed fetish is not the most common eye fetish, but a famous person who admitted having this eye fetish is René Descartes, a scientist and philosopher. He espoused the imprinting theory of his particular fetish because he was wildly attracted to a woman who happened to have a “lazy eye” or cross eyes.
Descartes is not the only person with a thing for cross eyes. Some people have a penchant for “unusual beauty,” and because cross eyes are rare, they find themselves attracted. Others simply experience sexual attraction to people with cross eyes for no particular reason, as with many fetishes.

3. Eye Contact Fetish
You know that moment you feel someone looking at you, and you look back, and a powerful sexual attraction between you registers and blazes in that moment?
Most of us experience something like this jolt at some point in our life.
For some people, this intense moment and the profoundly steamy and intimate exchange that takes place without words in eye contact afterward becomes a fetish. Eye contact excitement becomes the main driver of their sexual arousal and excitement.
4. Eye Rolling Fetish
Many fetishes are or can get extremely specific, and the eye fetish is no different.
When people orgasm, they may close their eyes, or sometimes, you see them roll their eyes into the back of their head. It’s just a moment, usually, but it symbolizes extreme sexual arousal. In turn, this is sexually arousing to witness, and some folks develop an eye rolling fetish.

5. Blue Eye Fetish
With the eye fetish, one of the most common manifestations is the overwhelming preference for a specific eye color. Just as many have a strong preference for hair color, many have a blue eye fetish, a green eye fetish, a gray eye fetish, a brown eye fetish, and even a violet eye fetish.
The rarity of certain eye colors impacts the idea of beauty—for example, some people have a fetish for light blue or green eyes in dark skinned people.
More commonly, an early sensual experience or familiar beauty dictates the eye color fetish preference. If your first girlfriend had big brown eyes—or even your mother—you may find yourself rhapsodizing in poetry about the dark pools of lust in your lover’s eyes.
With colored contacts available to all, you can role play and live out any eye color fetish with ease.
6. Heterochromia Fetish
Some people with an eye or eye color fetish have a heterochromia fetish. This is a sexual attraction to or sexual preference for people with the rare condition of having two different colored eyes.

7. Prosthetic Eye Fetish
The amputee fetish is not the only kind of prosthetic fetish! Any body part can be a fetish, and any body part that was injured or born differently and uses a prosthetic can become fetishized in the amazing human psyche.
People have broad medical fetishes, injury fetishes, or very particular fetishes for women in back braces, dudes with a club foot, finger splints—you name it. Some are very attracted to glass eyes. Others are attracted to eye patches over injured or damaged eyes. It can be a bona fide pirate thing as well.
8. Eye Socket Sex
I remember reading a Penthouse letter about a man who fucked his girlfriend’s eye socket (she had a prosthetic glass eye.) I was very young and thought they were making it up. Maybe they were. But an orifice is always a tantalizing mystery to penetrate, and it is not uncommon to want to go anywhere into the body that you can.
Eye socket fetish is best left to fantasy and not to actual penetration, no matter how gentle. The eye socket is not meant for anything but the eye, and it is near extremely delicate nerves, tissues, vessels, and the brain.
